1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the 1st Congresbury Rainbows website ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and 1st Congresbury Rainbows ("we", "us", or "our").
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.
The Service is intended for parents and guardians of children attending 1st Congresbury Rainbows. You must have a legitimate connection to the organisation to create an account.
3. Account Registration and Security
3.1 Registration
To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Accept all responsibility for activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
3.2 Registration Codes
Registration requires a valid invitation code provided by an administrator. These codes are personal to you and should not be shared with others who do not have a legitimate connection to 1st Congresbury Rainbows.
3.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activities that may harm the Service or other users.
4. Acceptable Use
4.1 You Agree To:
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
- Respect the privacy and personal information of other users
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with other users
- Provide accurate information about your availability to help at events
- Notify administrators promptly if you can no longer attend an event you've committed to
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
4.2 You Agree NOT To:
- Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or computer systems
- Use any automated means to access the Service or collect information from the Service
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other malicious code
- Harass, abuse, or harm another person through the Service
- Collect or store personal data about other users without their consent
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages
- Share or distribute inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
5. Safeguarding and Child Protection
As part of Girlguiding, we are committed to safeguarding children. All users must:
- Adhere to Girlguiding's safeguarding policies and procedures
- Report any safeguarding concerns immediately to the appropriate authorities
- Not use the Service to communicate directly with children
- Understand that all communications through the Service may be monitored for safeguarding purposes
Any safeguarding concerns identified through the Service will be reported to the appropriate authorities in accordance with legal requirements and Girlguiding policies.
6. User Content
6.1 Your Content
You may submit content through the Service, including messages, event responses, and profile information ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a licence to use, display, and process it as necessary to provide the Service.
6.2 Content Standards
All User Content must:
- Be accurate and truthful
- Not infringe any intellectual property rights or other rights of any person
- Not contain any defamatory, obscene, offensive, or illegal material
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
6.3 Monitoring and Removal
We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to monitor, review, and remove User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by 1st Congresbury Rainbows and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our express written permission.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with UK GDPR.

- Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the Service

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other users.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 1st Congresbury Rainbows, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

- Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
- Your User Content
